As COVID-19 persisted and lockdowns were inevitable, we created a seamless solution for the European consumer electronics and white appliances leader, MediaMarkt, operating in Greece, that would help their customers shop in-store without going to the store.

The solution was branded as 'Personal Video Shopping' and provided MediaMarkt customers with an alternative shopping channel other than the physical store or the e-shop, bringing together the best of both worlds. For the first time in Greece, they could shop end-to-end from the comfort of their home simply through a video-call with a MediaMarkt expert in-store.

The customer would book an appointment. The expert would video-chat with them, sharing their screen, offering guidance and advice from within the store. The Personal Video Shopper would also prepare a basket with the products the customer had selected, send it instantly via email or SMS to the customer and all the customer had to do was checkout and pay. The Personal Video Shopping solution required minimum effort from MediaMarkt's IT resources.
